Demo Day - Lake Travis

Join us for Mares Demo Day and experience Mares dive equipment in real‑world conditions under the supervision of the Tom’s Dive Team. This event is designed as a supervised, safety‑focused demo experience with clear dive planning, participation requirements, and on‑site support.

Event Overview

Registered participants will have the opportunity to dive and demo Mares equipment in a controlled environment. All dives are conducted under a formal dive plan with an assigned Dive Supervisor and an Emergency Management Plan.

Dive Plan

• Maximum dive time: 20 minutes
• Maximum depth: 60 feet
  • Junior Divers: 40 feet maximum
• Dive buddy required
  • No independent or solo diving permitted
  • Bring Your Own Buddy (BYOB) welcome
  • We can pair you with another participant or a Tom’s Dive Pro
• Dive Supervisor and Emergency Management Plan provided

Requirements to Participate

All participants must meet the following requirements:

• Proof of scuba certification provided prior to the event
• Signed Liability Release
• Verification of recent diving activity within the past 12 months
• Confirmation of fitness to dive on the day of the event
• Junior Divers:
  • Must be accompanied by a guardian diver and a Dive Professional
  • Dive Professional supervision fee applies

Recommended & Provided Equipment

Strongly recommended:

• Dive torch
• Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB)
• Dive tool

Provided on site:

• Save‑A‑Dive kits
• Save‑A‑Diver kits, including oxygen and first aid equipment

Rental gear:

• Available by advance reservation
• Offered at a discounted Demo Day rate

Briefing & Safety

• Attendance at the Tom’s Dive Team dive briefing is required
• All participants must follow briefing guidance and Dive Team instructions
• Dive profiles are subject to Dive Supervisor approval

On‑Site Amenities

• Restrooms with showers available
• Water, lemonade, and light snacks provided for registered divers

• Please ensure all required documentation is completed prior to arrival to ensure smooth check‑in and participation
