Come join us for our Members Only, Fun Dive on Lake Travis. This is a special event and we're limiting the number of registrants to the first 35 who sign up. We have chartered a large Just For Fun boat to carry everyone out to the dive destination. If you have somewhere in particular you'd like to dive, please let me know. We have a small entry fee to help defer the cost of the boat and the BBQ.
<UPDATE June 6, 2025> - Based on feedback from our club members, this year we will be serving BBQ on the boat after the dive on the boat.
We'll also have plenty of water on board to keep everyone hydrated.
The BBQ will served at Rudy's itself instead of actually on the boat. So, the schedule will look like:
- 8:00 AM - Arrive on the Just For Fun dock, with all your gear ready to board.
- 8:30 AM - The boat shoves off heading to the dive site. Start assembling your gear during the approx. 30 minute boat ride.
- 9:00 AM - Let's go diving!
- 12:00 PM - Be out of the water and back on the boat. Plan accordingly. The boat is heading back to the dock at this time.
- 12:30 PM - Arrive back at the docks and offload your gear.
- 1:00 PM - Meet at the Rudy's BBQ on 620 (address below) and sit as a group. Austin Aquanauts staff will go through the line and grab bulk BBQ and bring it to the table. Enjoy!
Make sure that your bring all the Scuba diving equipment that you'll need for you dives as well as your liability release form,.
